Dreadlocks Starter Kit

Our Starter Kit makes creating and maintaining dreadlocks in the comfort of your own home a breeze! It includes all the tools required to section, backcomb and crochet and a collection of our high performing organic Dread Empire products which deliver clean, healthy dreadlocks that knot, lock and mature with ease.

Dread Empire's Classic organic shampoo deeply cleans and removes oil and product build up preparing your hair perfectly for its new set of locks. The Accelerator is a salt based tightening spray which, just like taking a dip in the ocean, creates an environment in which dreadlocks thrive. The addition of Aloe Vera and Pro Vitamin B balances the salt effect in order to maintain hair health.

Dread Dust is a texturising powder which, in particular, makes backcombing a lot quicker and easier. Tightening Gel is a delicious smelling Aloe Vera based gel with Lavender and Rosemary to help keep your dreadlocks tidy, smoothing down loose hairs and encouraging the maturing process.

*Please leave a comment if you'd prefer to swap the Tightening Gel for a Dread Wax. Wax is suitable for thick, coarse curly hair types like afro hair. Gel is typically the preferred option as it's light weight and will not build up in your dreadlocks.
