10 x *BLONDE* Mermaid Human Hair Dreadlocks

**PLEASE NOTE, our Blonde Mermaid Locs are discounted due to not being as soft as our regular stock. This is due to the current batch of our BLONDE human hair being more effected by the lightening processes needed to achieve this light shade. With wear, they will soften a little and the use of dreadlock conditioners will help. They are still great quality, expertly crocheted so will remain durable. Our gorgeous mermaid locs made from quality human hair. A loop is built into the top if you wish to braid these into undreaded hair or alternatively, the loop can be cut off if you wish to use these to lengthen existing dreadlocks. 

WHAT TO EXPECT: The mermaid tails feature a semi permanent wave which will straighten with each shampoo, however, they can be re curled using heat tools. Please note that like most types of human hair extensions, the long mermaid tails may be more fragile due to the chemical processing involved in lightening and colouring to achieve its final shade. In particular, the lighter colours undergo the most amount of processing. We recommend treating them with extra care and conditioning regularly to maintain the health and appearance of the mermaid tails. Dread Empire Conditioning Spray can be applied to the ends as needed to help keep them soft and tangle free. All newly dreaded hair will initially feel quite stiff and with ongoing wear, they will become a little more flexible and softer.

INCLUSIONS: 10 x Individual dreadlock extensions.  

SIZE/LENGTH: Approximately 50cm/20in in total length, half of which is dreaded and the other half is undreaded.  7mm thickness.

INSTALLATION: If braiding in, take a section of your own hair and pull it through the loop. Our Latch Hook is an excellent tool to use to pull sections of undreaded hair through the loop. Move the extension up to the scalp, split the section of your own hair in two and install with a blanket stitch braid. Secure the braid with either Nylon Extension Thread or Pro Elastics.

COLOURING / TONING: Being human hair, our mermaid locs can be toned, however, we caution that due to the previous processing, achieving consistent results can be challenging on all types of human hair extensions.

Purple toners and shampoos can be quite drying and whilst generally, this is not an issue for the dreaded part of the mermaid locs, the deterioration of the undreaded mermaid tails may become evident.  It’s important to use a highly moistourising purple toner and if necessary, ensure further conditioning is applied after toning.

Always test any colouring or toning on one dreadlock first to ensure you are happy with the results before proceeding.

QUALITY, WEAR & RETURNS/REFUNDS: Our dreadlocks are hand crocheted using hair which is on average 9-10" long. More hair is added to build the length as we work our way down the dreadlock which is a common dreadlock extension making technique. To secure the long mermaid tails we have more tightly crocheted the bottom of the dreaded part which makes it feel just a little denser towards the bottom of the dread. We have also inserted a tiny amount of wig adhesive to the centre of the dreadlock for extra security and please note, this is not visible in anyway.

Just like your own dreaded hair, they will mature in time and with wear and will become a little more flexible. Also just like your own dreads, it's normal for loose hairs to escape with wear, particularly after shampooing and occasional maintenance maybe required by using a crochet hook to pull any escapees back into the dreadlock. We recommend reviewing your dreadlocks on arrival and make sure you're happy with the colour, look and feel. You can even shampoo one dreadlock to gain a clearer understanding of how they behave and wear. Any returns must be requested within 7 days of receiving your order and only dreadlocks which are unused, unworn and in their original condition are eligible for refund.
