80 x Backcombed/Twist Double Ended Dreadlocks (40 Extensions, 80 Dreads when folded)
If you love the dreaded look but also love to change your style often and don't want the long term commitment of real dreads, then these are for you! They are light weight and flexible, dry quickly and look like the real deal.
INCLUSIONS: 40 Extensions (80 Dreads when folded), Approx 50cm/20inches long and 1cm wide.
WEAR & CARE: Our dreadlock extensions can be worn for many weeks and even months at a time, depending on how quickly your hair grows. They can get wet, washed and shampooed as per your normal hair. When washing, we recommend you focus on your scalp and handle the dreadlocks with care. Maintenance will be required as over time it is normal for the twist to loosen and hairs will escape adding to the fuzzy texture. For maintenance techniques and video demonstrations, please go to our Dreadlocks FAQ page.
HOW MANY DO I NEED FOR A FULL HEAD? This depends on the size of your head. Each extension is plaited into a section of your own hair which is about 2cm squared at the scalp. You can use this measurement to work out how many extensions you will need but most people end up with about 50 sections based on this measurment. Keep in mind that for every one extension or section, you will end up with two dreads. Therefore, some people prefer larger sections so less extensions are needed where as others prefer a lot of volume and want more dreads. On average, most people will use between 40 - 50 Extensions (equalling 80 - 100 dreads) for a full head.
INSTALLATION: These extensions can easily be braided into sections of your own hair at the fold point of the extension. Once plaited in and the top half folded down you end up with two dreads for every extension installed. Our Heavy Duty Pro Elastics are sold separately and you can find them in our store. They are the perfect band to secure the plait in place.
The great bonus of Double Enders is that they can also be installed in really short hair!
