Knotty Boy LockSteady is designed to be an alternative to using concentrated salt-based dreadlock accelerator sprays. Although we acknowledge the use of sea salt as one method to tighten your locks, homemade solutions should be very diluted and used carefully.

Knotty Boy Locksteady Dreadlock Tropical Tightening Gel effectively accelerates the natural dreadlocking process without the use of harsh salts, but rather by employing the restorative and strong-binding properties of pure aloe, which has been used traditionally by Rastafarians to groom and strengthen their locks for decades. A lighter formula than Knotty Boy Dread Wax, this gel is designed for use on both new and long-developed dreadlocks to accelerate the natural growth process, tighten loose dreads and minimize frizzies!

Directions: After washing and rinsing your dreads, palm-roll small amounts of gel into damp dreadlocks. A pea size amount of gel in the palm of your hair is plenty for 1 -2 dreads, and try not to apply to the scalp to avoid aloe-flakes and over-drying. Allow to air-dry, or use a hairdryer on ‘low’ to dry dreads. Use after each dread-wash, approx. 1-2 times a week.
